About
the Training programme...
Building
on the success of 2001's GreenFish Partnership
Factsheet pack we are introducing a short-course
training programme for voluntary and community
organisations across the city of Manchester.
The
courses, based on the subjects covered in the
Factsheet pack, will be run by staff from Voluntary
Action Manchester, Community Accountancy Service,
Community Technical Aid Centre and Manchester
Community Information Network. The course programme
will last for 3 months initially but we hope soon
to confirm that it will run for the duration of
2003.
What
courses are on offer
Initially
courses will include Book keeping, Budgets and
cashflow, Accessible buildings, Business planning,
Recruiting and employing staff, Funding, Capital
funding, Effective Management Committees and Starting
up a new group.

How
long are the courses?
Each
course will last for either one whole day or half
a day as outlined in the course timetable below.
The ½ day training sessions include refreshments
and the full day training session include refreshments
and lunch.
How
much does each course cost?
The
cost of courses will depend upon the type of organisation
you are working for. An outline of the charging
system is below.

Where
will the courses be held?
All
courses take place at Voluntary Action Manchester's
offices, North Square, 11-13 Spear Street, Manchester,
